MINOR ATOM REBELS WIN THE GTHL CHAMPIONSHIP

On April 8th the Mississauga Rebels Minor Atom team defeated the Vaughan Kings at the MasterCard Centre to win the GTHL Championship. The Rebels won the series 4 games to 2 against a very talented Kings Team. All the games were very competitive and extremely entertaining, with each game going down to the wire.

In the end, the Rebels capped off a storybook season with an impressive combined record of 71-6-6 and which included 4 Tournament Championships, the Kraft Cup and the ultimate prize the GTHL Championship. The coaching staff would like to thank a very special group of young men for their dedication, hard work and commitment throughout the year – YOU GUYS ABSOLUTELY DESERVE IT!!! Also a special thanks to an unbelievable group of parents for their support throughout the year.

Rebels WIN Preston International Tournament - January 2010

The Minor Atom Rebels recently won the Preston International Hockey Tournament. For the Minor Atom Team this was their 4th Tournament and there 4th Tournament Championship. Congratulations to all the players on this phenomenal accomplishment. The coaches also want to congratulate all the players for their hard work and dedication this season. When you play as a TEAM you win as a TEAM. Congratulations Boys, you have absolutely earned it!!

Rebels WIN Richard Bell Memorial Tournament - Oakville - December 2009

 Shanahan Reps Tournament Champs!
The Shanahan Tournament for the Minor Atom Rebels started out with a heartbreaking loss to a very talented Barrie Colts Team. The boys rebounded with wins over London and Buffalo and entered the round of 16 with a 7th place ranking. They proceeded to beat the Markham Waxers and then on to the quarter finals where they defeated the Whitby Wildcats 5-3. The stage was set for a semi-final match up with the Vaughan Kings who had handed the Rebels their first regular season loss just 3 days earlier. The Rebels defeated the Kings 3-1 and met the Barrie Colts in the finals. Rebel pride was restored when the boys defeated Barrie 6-5 in the Championship Game to avenge the round robin loss to ultimately become The Shanahan International Minor Atom Champions. Congratulations to the boys on a hard fought Tournament win and especially for their resiliency and determination in bouncing back. Way to go boys!!!!!
